    Dr. Coen received his Medical Degree from the University of Nebraska, Medical Center Omaha, NE and completed his internship and residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Loma Linda University Medical Center, CA. In 1996, Dr. Coen completed a Sports Medicine Fellowship at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY.

    Dr. Coen specializes in Ankle Arthroscopy, Arthroscopic Surgery, Hip Surgery, Knee Surgery, Ligament Injuries, Rotator Cuffs, Shoulder Surgery, and Sports Medicine. He is a certified member of the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons and the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine.

    Dr. Coen’s personal interests include teaching. He is an Assistant Professor at Loma Linda University School of Medicine. He also enjoys playing soccer and attending church and is the proud recipient of the Top 10 Doctor-City (2014) award.

  • Dr. Peter Elsissy was born to two immigrants, both from Cairo, Egypt. He was raised in Connecticut and moved to Southern California at age ten, where he attended El Dorado High School in Placentia.

    After graduating high school, he attended the University of California, Riverside, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in 2002. He received his MD from David Geffen School of Medicine, UCLA in 2005 and completed his internship in general surgery at Loma Linda University in Orthopaedic Surgery in June 2010 before completing his fellowship in Hip and Knee Arthroplasty at the Arizona Institute for Bone and Joint Disorders in August 2011.

    Dr. Ghazal received his M.D. from Loma Linda University. After a residency at Loma Linda University Medical Center, he went on to complete a Sports Medicine Fellowship in Knee & Shoulder Reconstruction at the Los Angeles Orthopedic Institute. He is an Assistant Professor with the Department of Orthopaedics at Loma Linda University and works closely with residents and medical students at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center.

    Dr. Ghazal was honored to be the recipient of the Orthopaedic Surgeon of the Year 2002 in recognition of Excellence, in the Art, Practice and Teaching of Orthopaedic Surgery award, and to receive the Dean B. Hinshaw award of Excellence in Surgery in 1987. He also served as Program Chairman for the 23rd Annual Alumni Postgraduate Convention at Loma Linda University, presenting a two-day course entitled "The Athlete's Knee." His philosophy is "ALWAYS do your best! Put God first in life and enjoy what you have."

    He and his wife Catherine live in Redlands with their two children. They enjoy tennis, biking, hiking and horses. Dr. Ghazal is also a big sports fan (go 49ers!) and sports car enthusiast, and likes to play soccer and tennis.

  • Dr. Grames graduated with his M.D. degree from Loma Linda University and completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at Loma Linda University. He completed a Sports Medicine Fellowship at the Orthopaedic and Fracture Clinic in Eugene, Oregon.

    Dr. Grames specializes in sports-related injuries and treats patients in the Inland Empire where he grew up. He is also involved with Arrowhead Regional Medical Center Orthopaedic Trauma Center, where he enjoys working with medical students and residents. Dr. Grames has been active in numerous research projects.

  • Doctor Hadley is a board-certified Orthopaedic Surgeon practicing in the Inland Empire. He currently practices with Arrowhead Orthopaedics and is affiliated with several hospitals, including Arrowhead Regional Medical Center's Orthopaedic Trauma Center, where he works with medical students, residents, and physician assistants. Dr. Hadley is an Assistant Clinical Professor with Loma Linda University School of Medicine and an Assistant Professor with California University of Science and Medicine.

    Doctor Hadley grew up in Northern California and graduated college from Pacific Union College in the Napa Valley. He graduated with his medical degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine in 2006. He completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at Loma Linda University Medical Center in 2011. Dr. Hadley is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and a California Medical Association member.

    Dr. Hadley's orthopedic focus includes surgery on the shoulder, such as arthroscopic rotator cuff repairs, labral repairs, as well as anatomic and reverse shoulder replacements. He also does knee arthroscopy, including ligament repair and reconstructions. Dr. Hadley also does hand and elbow surgery, including nerve releases, trigger finger releases, and different treatments for arthritis and tendonitis.

  • Dr. Hopkins received his Medical Degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and completed his orthopaedic residency at Loma Linda University Medical Center. He then went on to complete a spine fellowship at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York. He is involved with the Arrowhead Regional Medical Center Orthopaedic Trauma Center, where he enjoys working with medical students and residents.

    Currently, Dr. Hopkins treats most orthopedic injuries but specializes in degenerative diseases of the spine and deformity correction.

  • Born and raised in San Bernardino, Dr. Skubic returned to the Inland Empire in 1989 after completing his Spinal Surgery Fellowship in Toronto.   • Dr. Steinmann is a University of Washington, a fellowship-trained spinal surgeon with over 25 years' experience in treating traumatic and degenerative conditions of the neck, mid-back, and low back. In addition, Dr. Steinmann has surgical expertise in treating traumatic injuries of the pelvis and acetabulum (hip). He is a graduate of Western University of Health Sciences and completed a 5-year residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Botsford General Hospital, Farmington Hills, MI.

    Dr. Steinmann is the Medical Director of the Spine and Joint Institute (SJI) at Redlands Community Hospital, the region's leading institute for the spine and joint replacement surgery. Dr. Steinmann is also the director of Spine Trauma at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center and an Assistant Clinical Professor at Western University and Loma Linda University.

    Dr. Steinmann has played a pivotal role in earning collaborative recognition by HealthGrades for "Best in Orthopaedics" for Redlands Community Hospital.

    Driven by a desire to improve orthopedic and spinal devices' value, Dr. Steinmann is the founder and CEO of Renovis Surgical Technologies and managing member of Inland Surgical Products.

    Dr. Stewart received his Medical Degree in 2002 from St. Louis University School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO. He completed his residency in 2007 at Howard University College of Medicine in Washington D.C.

    Dr. Stewart is Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery and has special expertise in Hip, Knee, and Hand and Wrist Osteoarthritis. He is the proud recipient of the Healthgrades Honor Roll Award.

    Andrew Wong, M.D. is a fellowship trained Orthopaedic Surgeon specializing in Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery. He joined Arrowhead Orthopaedics in August 2009. Dr. Wong completed a fellowship in Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery at one of the most coveted Hand fellowships in the country - Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. It was at Allegheny where Dr. Wong honed his expertise in surgery from the shoulder to fingertip, using diverse techniques of surgery including arthroscopy, joint replacement, and microsurgery. He completed his residency program at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI where he was honored with the distinction of chief resident.

    Dr. Wong is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He is currently a member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Along with many of his partners at Arrowhead Orthopaedics, Dr. Wong is an Assistant Clinical Professor at Loma Linda University Medical Center. In this involvement at the Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, he is able to pursue his passion for teaching, helping to train LLUMC Orthopaedic Residents and medical students from various institutions.

    Dr. Wong was born in Ann Arbor, MI and returned to pursue his Bachelor’s degree, Medical degree, and Orthopaedic Surgery residency at the University of Michigan. It was during his undergraduate years that he met his wife. They have been married since 2003 and enjoy traveling, backpacking, playing and watching sports, but most of all, playing with their children Caleb and Joshua.

  • Dr. Solomon completed an accelerated 7-year B.S/M.D. Degree with the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He then did his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at University Hospitals, Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. He also completed the San Diego Arthroscopy and Sports Medicine fellowship then he completed a second fellowship in hand and upper extremity surgery at the Philadelphia Hand Center/Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.

    Dr. Solomon specializes in the care of injuries related to the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. He received extensive training in arthroscopy of the wrist, elbow, and shoulder and performs shoulder replacement surgery. He particularly enjoys working with residents and fellows and hopes to contribute time to teaching the next generation of physicians.

  • Dr. Jonathan Allen is a proud Inland Empire native. He was actively involved in his youth with sports in Redlands, both at the high school and college levels. He graduated from Redlands High School and the University of Redlands with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He continued his education at Loma Linda University School of Medicine. Postdoctoral training included an internship in General Surgery, followed by an Orthopaedic Residency at Loma Linda University.

    Dr. Allen completed a Spine Surgery Fellowship at UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento. He treated a multitude of spinal afflictions at this fellowship, including degenerative spinal disease, adult and pediatric spinal deformity, trauma, spinal disc pathology, spine tumors, infections, and revision surgery.

  • Dr. Glivar has expertise in all types of spinal surgery, with a special interest in minimally invasive surgical options. He has experience in traditional open procedures, minimally invasive surgery, endoscopic surgery, and navigated and robotic technologies. His training featured integration Orthopaedic Surgery and Neurosurgery. Dr. Glivar enjoys the complexity and challenge of Spine care and the ability to impact his patients’ quality of life significantly.

    Dr. Glivar has always had a passion for learning and pursuing his interests to the fullest. His early background included various sports, practicing competitive powerlifting, and maintaining an extensive exercise and fitness regimen. All have aligned his interests in medicine toward musculoskeletal health.

  • Dr. Patton is fellowship-trained in orthopedic foot and ankle surgery, treating complex lower extremity disorders with a thoughtful approach. He studied medicine at Loma Linda University Medical School, where he served as the Medical School Senate president. Dr. Patton spent five years of residency in orthopedic training at the University of Washington Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. Following residency, he completed advanced fellowship training in complex foot reconstruction and ankle replacement at Orthopedic Associates of Michigan in Grand Rapids.

    Volunteerism motivates Dr. Patton. He served immediately after the Haiti earthquake in 2010. Dr. Patton established a relationship with a hospital in Port-au-Prince and continues to support them today. He was nominated to chair of the school of medicine class committee to support this hospital in Haiti.
